The name
Drawn from Hausa. Rooted in daily life.
The name dàrdūmā is drawn from the Hausa word for a traditional mat or woven rug — one of the most rooted pieces of furnishing in Northern Nigerian households, still used today by decor sellers across the region for rugs and mats. It reflects the spirit of the company: furnishing that is genuinely rooted in local material culture, paired with the sourcing and finishing craftsmanship the company was built on.
